GBP Studio Rental is a Photo Studio Rental Facility for Amateurs and Professional Photographers alike.
GBP Photo Studio Rental is conveniently situated in Beverley Gardens, Randburg area - close to Sandton in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The studio is owner-operated by Gavin Blok, with more than 25 years experience in this industry. Gavin gladly & freely assists all new photographers with setting up their 1st studio light setup and loves sharing his lifelong experience in photography, video and media production.

Below follows all the info you need to decide if our studio is the right studio for your next shoot.

Studio Rental includes:
4x professional Bowens studio Strobes (hanging from the roof & no cables lying on the floor), 2 Octa Boxes (large 1.7m & smaller 1.2m), 2x 70cm Beauty Dishes (white & silver) and 2 Striplights, a few other basic modifiers and the white studio “shooting space” with 5m wide curved white wall.
Rental of the studio space is 100% private, NOT BRANDED and you can actually promote the space as “your very own” resident studio to your clients. We have many professional photographers doing this already.
You will get access to a dressing room, makeup room, open public space and a fully furnished kitchen. We also have safe parking for 6 cars under roof and 1 more on the property – 7 cars in total.
Free WiFi, yes we have just installed fiber internet for use during your shoot at our studio.
Studio Rates & Duration:
- 0-1hr = R700
- 2hrs = R1000
- 3hrs = R1500
- 4hrs = Half Day = R2000
- 5hrs = R2400
- 6hrs = R2800
- 7hrs = R3200
- Full Day = R3500 (max 8hrs)
** If you overshoot by 15min or more, R500 p/hr overtime will be charged additional to the booking fee.
NB! Rather add a hour extra to your booking if you think time will be tight - you will save a lot!
Studio Availability:
The studio is available 7 days a week from 8am till late at night.
3 half-day sessions available:
Morning | Afternoon | Evening (till 12pm)
Studio Rental Time Includes!Rental starts the moment the 1st person enters the studio. This includes setup and breakdown time! If the makeup room is to be used for makeup or preparation - then this time must be included in the rental time to be booked.
*** If you overshoot by 15min or more, overtime will be charged additional to the booking fee.
Terms of payment!Must pay on the day - we accept:

- SnapScan Barcode App
- Credit/ Debit Card 💳
- If you bank with FNB, then an instant Geo-payment via the FNB app ✅

If you request payment “via EFT” - then payment must reflect 24hrs before shoot starts.
Booking Confirmation!
All bookings will be confirmed via WhatsApp and a calendar invite sent to your email address. Acknowledging a booking via WhatsApp is the only way to confirm a booking.

** Cancellation Fee! ** If a studio (casual or commercial) booking is canceled, after accepting conditions and confirmation of booking - a cancellation fee is payable equal to:
- a minimum fee of R350, or
- 25% of the booking fee (whatever amount is larger)
Please Leave the Studio Tidy!
It is required that the studio be left clean and tidy as originally provided. If not left tidy - a tidying or cleaning fee will be charged.
If excessive scuff marks or damage is left on the white shooting surface, then additional cleaning/ scrubbing, repairs or a repaint might be required. This will be charged at a fee directly related to cost of restoration or repairs.
